1 Swim with dolphins - (My friends Bill & Joyce have done this... the closest I've been is jetskiing along side Manatees)
2 Dive the GBR - (I've snorkelled there)
3 Fly on Concorde - (Soon to be impossible)
4 Whale watching - (Never been - but it's not far to go see them)
5 Dive with sharks

10 See Aurora Borealis - (Done this one a number of times)

12 Climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge - (Hope I didn't miss my chance to do this)

15 Whitewater rafting
16 Walking the Great Wall of China - (Got this one covered off)
17 Doing a bungee jump
18 Train journey across the Canadian Rockies
19 Driving down Route 66

45 Seeing tigers in the wild
46 Hurtling down the Cresta Run
47 Walt Disney World - (Been there)

49 Watching orang-utans - (Umm... at the zoo?)
50 Watching polar bears - (Umm... at the zoo?)
Hmmm... lots more to do here, just like in the 50 places list.... :)
Turns out it was a vote, so it was/is the British people who made up the list.
I think it would be better if it was perhaps split up into categories, like arts & culture, nature, etc.

These are kinda touristy and flaky. What about:
- read every Shakespeare play (and see them performed at Stratford)
- run for office
- have a newspaper byline
- play in a band/orchestra
- own a business
- attend the Nobel prize ceremony & speeches
- deliver a speech at your country's legislative assembly
- write a book (I can't believe this one's not there; what kind of illiterate losers are these BBC folks???)
- raise a child
- dress up as Santa Claus & give presents to children
