For Boris: Social Software Makes Revenue Headway
Just read this Globe and Mail article. Seems social software is making some headway, maybe even as a revenue generating service for some places. I must preface this with my thoughts that social software has been around for ages and isn't anything new... maybe the uses are somewhat new, and hopefully Boris and the crew at Zerendpity can figure out some good ones.

Monster.com to add networking
From Wednesday's Globe and Mail
Monster Worldwide Inc. plans this month to launch an on-line community for users of its popular jobs-listing site for a fee.
The venture, already tested among some U.S. visitors to Monster.com, will be a part of the site and is a cross between increasingly popular networking and dating sites, such as Friendster.com, and job posting.
While users can search for contacts by profession, location and school, they will have to pay to view contact information. For the test period, Monster is charging a $24.99 (U.S.) one-time fee and a monthly charge of $2.99 for users to get in touch with each other.
Industry analysts and rivals claim that Monster is seeking other revenue streams after losing market share to CareerBuilder.com in the past year, but they doubt if the offering will make money.
