Running...

Posted on 25 October 2005

So with Meghan out of town for a month it was time to start something new... so I went running with Kev this morning as we start a marathon training program.  Kev went through this last year, so he's got lots of helpful hints.  I've been out a few times this year running 5K or so each time (I think the highest I've done in the last year was 7K) and today's was no different.  The first run was 5Kin the plan that Kev has followed (suggested by Steve I believe). The route can be seen below: It's a start anyway... now we've just got to keep it up.

Good job today Dave. You forgot to give some vital stats for the run. :) It took us 28 minutes to cover the 3 miles today and despite my initial thoughts, the weather was pretty much perfect - a very light rain and a bit of wind with a temperature around 8 degrees I think.

Looking forward to this training program. I did the last one all alone so I'm happy to have some company for the runs this time around.

Nice Work Dave-ster! I am gleaming with pride...keep it up! (and I believe I owe you a few sets of long run company)
