Migrating Drupal for Our Ultimate Association

By smithdm3 - Posted on 24 November 2006

Well, as a member of our (what is now small) board of directors for my favourite ultimate association, it's fallen to me to help move our web team through the upgrade process for our drupal installation. Currently it's running at 4.5.2 and I'd like to get it up to 4.7, and depending on the time 5.0 is released, maybe to there. It's not going to be an easy thing though, as the previous version has been tied into our league management system (Leaguerunner) and so there is some customization - which I'm not sure I'm the best to do - that will have to be involved.

I've got it up in two spots on my server for now to try to test it: http://ocuaold.smithdm3.com and http://ocuanew.smithdm3.com.
and the new one should change over the weekend as it gets upgraded to 4.7.x.

Have you had much luck so far? If I can be of any assistance - however small that may be - let me know.

... and I think we can replace the only module that wasn't updated (filestore2) with disknode... so, I think we might be good to go other than the styling and leaguerunner integration... that, I hope to tackle this weekend... though, I'm also Xmas shopping this weekend... so we'll see how that goes...

Anyway, I need to retry my upgrade procedures to see if I can iron out the hiccups...

I found this post while searching for some league integration modules for drupal! I've been poking around with leaguerunner and found an old drupal module to interface to it, but wanted to know how you guys are going with it. Are you still on 4.7? have you moved any leaguerunner integration any further along? I'd love to learn from some of your experiences with this.
